[Okay, he can do this. Late in the day of D18, Susan finally leaves his own gift for the Ringmaster on the doorstep of her cabin - a box with a letter attached, her name written large so everyone knows who it's for. Inside the box are a few pieces of cord-braided jewelry, not expertly made but still looking pretty good. Throughout the pieces there's other bits woven in or tied on - shells, pretty stones, coins, leaves, that sort of thing, all things from different places the Carnival has traveled.]

Dear Ringmaster,

I wanted to say that I'm really, really sorry for attacking you before. I guess I had the wrong idea of you and I just misunderstood because you don't really explain what you're doing, and so I thought you must be bad and not care about what happens. But now I know that you do care, really, and a lot too. Especially compared to the other fey. Carly said you even go out and try to help people, and that's why we get attacked sometimes is people don't like you for stopping them. I think it's really cool that you do that, and I guess it's kind of like me, that you help people even if it might be bad for you, I just don't have other people who might get hurt because of it so I didn't think of it like that. But now that I did I know that you aren't bad and I feel bad for thinking you were and trying to kill you and stuff.

I know that just saying sorry probably isn't enough and that's okay but I wanted to anyway so it's okay if you don't forgive me. But I also have a holiday and apology present here, Carly showed me how to make this jewelry and I made it with shells and rocks and other stuff I found in all the places we went so far. So it's pretty special I think! I was gonna have Carly help me make a dress for you too, with this cool fabric I bought that looks kinda like it's on fire, but since I used the money you gave us to buy it she thought you wouldn't want it, but if you do anyway then just tell me and I can help her make it!

Anyway I'm sorry for trying to kill you, and I'm gonna do my best from now on so you like me again. Let me know if you want to talk or if you do want the dress or anything else! I hope you have a good vacation and everything.
