[Decent paper folded in half, plain neat handwriting, many many unseen drafts, a whole storm of guilt and lurking dread. He's afraid of what she might do to him, he's not sure how much more he can take, but waiting and not knowing is worse.]

Ringmaster

I'm sorry for disobeying you and causing you and so many others so much difficulty. You were very explicit, and I was careless.

I didn't think of what I was doing as breaking curfew, but as moving my friend from one approved space to another. It was a mistake and I didn't mean for any of what followed to happen, but it was still my actions that set so many terrible things off.

I won't say a word in protest if you choose to discipline me for my transgression. If you're angry with Reira, Sans, Sora, or Rin, I beg you to remember that ultimately the trouble they got into was because of me and my idiocy, and that you keep that in mind before making any decisions.

[He leaves Tyki out of this because that? Of everything, that at least definitely wasn't on him. Julien also leaves out saying that the Prince had any share of blame because while he hates acting like a thinking being is weather or something, bringing it up reads too much like trying to wriggle out of it.]

I will try to be more circumspect in the days to come. It doesn't feel like enough to say that I'm sorry, or that I'm grateful that you took me back and showed such kindness to the other people the Prince enslaved. You're a good patron, and I wish I was worthy of you. If you don't want me to try to talk to you anymore, I understand completely.

Finally, thank you for eating the Prince. It sounds like it was badass. I'm sorry I missed seeing that, but I'm glad I'll never see him again.
